The project was being run by London Projects, which are based in central London and are routinely managing a range of redevelopment projects across the capital.

Diamond Sawing to Create an Opening for a Staircase
When it comes to construction, precision and efficiency are key elements that can make or break the success of the project. One such example project is cutting a 6-metre by 3-metre opening in a 150 mm reinforced concrete floor for a bespoke staircase installation for the Danish high-end consumer electronics company Bang and Olufsen. The task demanded careful planning, suitable tools, and attention to detail.
Concrete Stair Cutting for New Restaurant Fit-Out – Olympia
We are currently carrying out specialist concrete cutting works at Olympia for a new restaurant fit-out. The scope involved cutting an existing concrete staircase in half through 350 mm thick concrete at a 45-degree angle. The works required a high level of precision to ensure a clean, accurate cut while maintaining structural integrity for the client’s requirements.
Floor Sawing Access Opening in Reinforced Concrete Slab – Chatham
We carried out specialist hand sawing works to form a 1 m × 1 m access opening through a 160 mm thick reinforced concrete slab at a site in Chatham. The concrete section was carefully lifted out using an A-frame and a 3-tonne block and tackle. The opening was required to provide access to machinery located below the slab, and the works were completed safely and efficiently with full control throughout the lifting operation.
Drilled Fixings for New Crash Barrier – Croydon
We completed the drilling of 500 × 50 mm diameter holes through 1.2 m thick brickwork to facilitate the installation of a new crash barrier in Croydon. All works were carried out during night shifts and successfully completed in under four nights, ensuring minimal disruption while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
5.1m Emergency Stitch Drilling Through Reinforced Concrete – Derby
We completed an emergency stitch drilling project in Derby for a groundworks contractor. Following an urgent call-out, we were on site the next day. The works involved 5.1 metres of stitch drilling through 550 mm deep reinforced concrete, all successfully completed within a single day.
Track Sawing for Structural Steel Installation - Brighton Road
We completed specialist track sawing works for Kelf Civil Engineering on Brighton Road, London, to allow for the installation of structural steelwork within existing walls. Due to site constraints, all works were carried out during night hours. All operatives were IPAF trained and certified to safely operate scissor lifts when working at height, ensuring full compliance with health and safety requirements
170 mm Deep Reinforced Concrete Track Sawing - Heathrow Airport
We completed track sawing works at Heathrow Airport, cutting 170mm deep through reinforced concrete to allow the client’s new machine to be securely fixed inside the wall. Our operatives got straight to work, using the best equipment and methods to deliver a precise finish with minimal disruption.
